If you had to pick just one group of people who’s most excited about the promise behind big data, it might just have to be marketers. After all, the more you know about your customers, the better positioned you’ll be to provide the products and services they actually need – and will pay for. According to this infographic by IconicMind.com, 71 percent of marketers plan to implement a big data analytics solution within the next three years. Currently, less than 10 percent of marketers are using the data they have in a systematic way. What that means is that we may be in for a big shift in advertising and marketing – and possibly tech jobs for those who have the skills to crunch all that data.
