All New Apple Products in Order: 2024/2025 Releases

Why Trust Techopedia

Apple has been on a launch spree recently, releasing new versions across their entire range across 2024. And we already know that 2025 will be just as packed with new Apple products.

The latest Apple products ranged from a fairly straightforward iPhone 16 release (we expect 2025’s iPhone 17 to be more of an upgrade) to a true step-up for the MacBook Pro range and the iPad Pro, thanks to the AI-friendly, superfast M4 chip.

That’s not all — from the Vision Pro to Apple Intelligence, and maybe a HomePod and new form factors for the next iPhone range, Apple has a packed calendar of events to look forward to in the year ahead.

Below, we list all new Apple products in order across 2024 and 2025.

Key Takeaways

  • Apple released massive upgrades across their MacBook, iPad, and wearable lineups in 2024.
  • The Vision Pro headset started a new product range, and the Mac mini saw its first major refresh in a decade.

All You Need to Know About New Apple Products

Vision Pro 1

  • Released: February 2024
  • Price: $3,499

The first of Apple’s new products in 2024 was the Vision Pro. Rather than calling it a VR, XR, MR, or AR headset, it referred to the headset as a spatial computer that can blend the digital and physical worlds. The jury is still out on whether it was to justify the $3,499 needed for the entry-level 256GB model.

Although the initial target was to sell 3 million units, Bloomberg advised it’s unlikely to sell 500,000 in 2024. By October 2024, it was revealed that Apple could stop making the current Vision Pro by the end of the year.

M3 MacBook Air

  • Released: March 2024
  • Price: $899

In March, Apple refreshed its MacBook Air lineup with two new 13-inch and 15-inch models powered by its M3 chip. The new range was seen as incremental updates, prompting many to question if the M3 Macbook Air lived up to its hype.

iPad Air 6 with M2 Chip

  • Released: May 2024
  • Price: $499

At the “Let Loose” event on May 7, Apple announced a new iPad Air powered by its M2 chip. But the actual plot twist was that it came with the options of an 11″ ($599) and a larger 13″ ($799) version. The powerful iPad Air 6 also came in new blue and purple finishes, starlight, and space grey.

iPad Pro 2024 With M4 Chip and OLED Screen

  • Price: $999

Also in May, Apple showcased the highly anticipated iPad Pro, powered by the new M4 chip and the first tablet to feature an OLED display. The high-end iPad was thinner and lighter, with a hefty price tag of $999 for the 11-inch model and $1299 for the 13-inch iPad. It was one of our favorites out of all the new apple products in 2024.

Despite the impressive specs, the biggest headlines were about the minute-long ad with a hydraulic press crushing computers, musical instruments, and an arcade cabinet to promote the power of the iPad Pro. It sadly missed the mark and caused heated debates that spilled into conversations about iPad Air vs. iPad Pro online.

iPhone 16

  • Released: September 2024
  • Price: $849

The entry-level iPhone 16, was announced on September 9, 2024, with an A18 chip, improved cameras, and 8GB of RAM. We also saw the iPhone 16 Pro but sadly, no iPhone Mini or iPhone Ultra.

However, for the first time, the new range of Apple iPhones was not the show’s star in 2024. Every new device from Apple was geared towards being compatible with Apple Intelligence. But will it be enough to get Apple fans to hit the upgrade button?

Apple Watch Series 10

  • Released: September 2024
  • Price: $399

In September, Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10 or Series X, which was thinner and more powerful than previous releases. The new Apple watch also introduced new health features, such as the ability to detect sleep apnea.

AirPods 4

  • Released: September 2024
  • Price: $129

AirPods 4 also launched in September 2024. Apple users now have many options depending on their budget and whether they need Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

AirPods 4 start at $129 for the basic model and $179 for the version with ANC. The higher-end model offers Adaptive Audio and improved microphones for clearer calls.

AirPods Max 2

  • Released: September 2024
  • Price: $549

The AirPods Max 2 finally arrived in September for music fans who prefer over-ear headphones for a more immersive audio experience. Although the new version featured new colors and a USB-C connector, there were a few other reasons to justify paying $549 for a slight upgrade  — it is more a refresh than a new edition.

The absence of an upgraded H2 chip, charging case, design updates, or gesture controls made the AirPods Max 2 feel like a wasted opportunity.

iPad mini 2

  • Released: November 2024
  • Price: $499

The iPad mini 7 dropped in October, making it Apple’s first small tablet in three years.

At 8.3 inches, the smallest iPad is just 1.4 inches bigger than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and more bag-friendly than the 10.9-inch entry-level iPad.

With a high starting price of $499 for a 128GB model, the iPad mini will serve a niche market. But we are impressed with the internals.

M4 Mac mini M4

  • Released: November 2024
  • Price: $599 (base version), $1,399 (Pro version)

The arrival of a revamped Mac Mini with the powerful new M4 chip is predictably built for Apple Intelligence. But the bigger story is that it’s the first major redesign of the Mac mini for 14 years.

At 5in by 5in, this powerful beast immediately earned the title of Apple’s smallest desktop to date. If you want to push the spec to the max, the pro version of these tiny computers can run a maximum of 64GB of RAM and 120Gbps Thunderbolt 5 connectivity.

The base M4 Mac mini model can be created with two 6K displays and one 5K screen. However, the M4 Pro Mac mini will allow you to run three 6K panels if you want a dream setup.

Don’t be fooled by the size of the Mac mini. Apple has squeezed in room for two front USB-C ports, Ethernet, HDMI, and a headphone jack.

The starting price is $599, and the M4 Pro version starts at $1,399. But the full Apple experience could quickly get very expensive with the addition of the USB-C, Magic Keyboard ($99), Magic Mouse ($79), Magic Trackpad ($129) and multiple screens.

iMac M4

  • Released: November 2024
  • Price: $1,299 (base model)

The new 24-inch iMac was unveiled on October 28, 2024, and shipped in November, featuring the next-generation M4 chip ready to power new Apple Intelligence features.

Users can better express themselves with vibrant colors like blue, green, orange, pink, purple, and silver. But those looking for something bigger and more professional-looking were left feeling disappointed.

The entry-level 24-inch iMac has a starting price of $1,299 and comes with 256GB of storage and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

If you pay $1,499, you can get a much better spec with four Thunderbolt 4 ports, keyboard Touch ID, and gigabit Ethernet. Most creatives needing more storage will probably upgrade to the $1,699 version, which offers a much more respectable 512GB of space.

With a shift towards laptops and modular desktops like the Mac mini, it seemed Apple had fallen out of love with its iMac range.

But here we are: a new range of entry-level iMacs in vibrant colors will be a massive hit with creatives, especially with the arrival of 90s tech nostalgia.

However, the biggest complaint from Apple fans is the lack of a larger 27″ or 32″ iMac.

Macbook Pro M4

  • Price: $1,599 (base model)

The M4 chip and Apple Intelligence have featured in most of Apple’s big announcements in 2024. However, the tech giant has saved the best to last with a highly anticipated new range of MacBook Pro M4 laptops powered by the family of M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips.

Many people have highlighted that the previous MacBook Pros consist of a slight spec bump. But the new M4 chips combined with a glare-resistant nano-texture screen, 12MP webcam, and up to 24 hours of battery life under the M4 Max chip, there is a lot of bang for your buck here.

Apple has finally removed the 8GB RAM option from its laptops, so hopefully, we can finally drop the argument about whether 8GB is enough RAM for an Apple laptop.

Like the M3 version, the 14-inch MacBook Pro M4 was launched with a starting price of $1,599, while the 16-inch MacBook Pro M4 base price starts at $2,499.

Homepod Mini 2

  • Expected Release Date: Christmas 2025
  • Expected Price: ~$100

Classic but showing its age: The Homepod Mini range is ready for an update. Source Apple

The first of our expected releases, rumors suggest the Homepod Mini 2 is ready to launch, with production already underway.

The first Mini was released in November 2020, marking at least a four-year gap between versions — and the world moves fast.

So we hope the HomePod mini 2 smart speaker comes with better audio quality, better range, and more integrations with Siri — perhaps even with Apple Intelligence.

And if the colorful range gets even more colorful, even better.

Apple TV 4K

  • Expected Release Date: Early 2025 (Rumored)
  • Expected Price: ~$100
Source: Apple

If 2024 was all about Apple Intelligence, what does that mean for the smart home? Apple TV 4K 4th generation is expected to drop in the next few months, featuring 4K video, Dolby Atmos, AI personalization, home automation, and voice commands.

Early rumors suggest that the new 4K Apple TV will include a built-in camera to enable FaceTime support and gesture controls.

iPad 11th Generation

  • Expected Release Date: Early 2025 (Rumored)
  • Expected Price: ~$349

2024 was about ensuring every new Apple product was ready for Apple Intelligence. But the entry-level iPad is two years old, and there are no signs of an upgrade in 2024.

Rather than release a new version without Apple Intelligence, the iPad 11th Generation is being skipped in 2024.

It is expected to be released in Spring 2025, along with the iPhone SE 4.

iPhone SE 4

  • Expected Release Date: Spring 2025
  • Expected Price: $499

We expect the iPhone SE 4 to arrive in Q2 2025, a good moment for fans of the slightly more budget-focused range.

Hopefully, we’ll see a 6.1-inch all-screen OLED display powered by the A16 Bionic chip, along with the Action button, FaceID, and USB-C charging, and keeping to a price-point of around $499.

iPhone 17

  • Expected Release Date: September 2025
  • Expected Price: ~$799

The entry-level iPhone 17 will come in a few models, but early rumors suggest a 120Hz ProMotion display, a slimmer design, improved scratch resistance, and a faster A-series chip.

The iPhone 17 lineup is expected to include the standard, Pro, and Pro Max, and maybe a few additional surprises, such as the slim and ultra models.

iPhone 17 Ultra

  • Expected Release Date: September 2025 (Rumored)
  • Expected Price: ~$1,299

A higher-end premium phone model called the iPhone 17 Ultra could launch in September 2025.

But the bigger question is whether audiences will embrace a titanium chassis, larger display, and new pro features if it becomes the most expensive iPhone ever.

iPhone 17 Slim

  • Expected Release Date: September 2025 (Rumored)
  • Expected Price: ~$1,299

Could Apple surprise everyone with a new iPhone 17 slim design in 2025? According to reports online, a new Apple smartphone nicknamed iPhone Air is in the works with a semi-titanium frame and a 6.6-inch display wrapped in a 5mm-thick casing. Developments around this exciting project are something we are watching very closely at Techopedia.

Smart Ring

  • Expected Release Date: 2025
  • Expected Price: ~$349

Speculation is increasing that Apple is preparing to make a strategic entry into wearable tech with the Apple Smart Ring. Rumors suggest that the new wearable could offer health tracking, mobile payments, and device control. We expect a slow drip feed of Apple Smart Ring news building up to a release in 2025.

Vision Pro 2

  • Expected Release Date: 2025 (Rumored)
  • Expected Price: ~$3,500

There are widespread reports that Apple is pausing Vision Pro 2 work to focus on a lower-cost model.

But we hope to see the launch of an Apple Vision Pro 2 alongside a new M5 chip in 2025 with Apple Intelligence and a more affordable price. Watch this space.

Home Pod

  • Expected Release Date: 2025 (Rumored)
  • Expected Price: Speculatively ~$1,000

If your Apple HomeKit is missing a certain je ne sais quoi, rest assured there are big plans for the smart home. We have already mentioned the Apple TV 4K 4th generation, but the tech giant is also rumored to be reinventing its Home Pod with a screen.

There are increasing rumors that Apple plans to release its first smart home display, and the tech giant has even been developing a ‘robot arm’ device. What’s the worst that could happen?

Foldable iPhone

  • Expected Release Date: 2026
  • Expected Price: Likely $1,200+

As foldable phones enter the mainstream, it is heavily rumored that Apple will move ahead with the foldable iPhone. The clamshell-style device is codenamed V68 and appears to be more in the form of a Galaxy Flip — aka, it’s about portability in your pocket rather than a larger screen when unfolded.

But don’t expect this one before 2026. Rest assured, we are closely monitoring progress here at Techopedia.

The Bottom Line

Apple has had a very successful 2024, with the new MacBooks, iPad Pro, and our personal favorite, the Mac mini, all getting supercharged updates. The M4 chip is a true step up in power while also increasing battery life if you’re not maxing it out with intensive tasks. And seeing a new iMac almost made us happy.

If anyone can make artificial intelligence (AI) mainstream, it is Apple. Let’s see how well they succeed in doing that with a non-tech audience now that the M4 opens it up to a much wider audience.

The iPhone 16 range was much more an “evolution” this year — we expect the iPhone 17 in 2025 to be the true “yes, it’s worth the upgrade” moment.

So, our one to watch for next year is the iPhone, but for now, we are suitably impressed with what Apple has delivered in its other product categories.
