2. Mouthwashing

The most important thing you need to know about Mouthwashing is this: God is not watching. And if that doesn’t scare you, then wait until you hear about the premise of this story-rich, upcoming psychological horror game from Wrong Organ and Critical Reflex.

Set on The Tulpar, a shipwrecked space freighter that only has 6 months of power left and a diminishing number of rations, the remaining crew have taken their revenge out on their captain, Curly. But with little else to do but die, it doesn’t take long before carnage and depravity run rampant throughout the spaceship.

3. Slay The Princess – The Pristine Cut

Black Tabby Games is a developer that isn’t afraid to make you uncomfortable, and they certainly do that and more with their horror visual novel Slay the Princess. In it, you are told by a mysterious narrator to enter the shack and (as the title says) slay the princess that lies inside. She’ll beg, she’ll plead, and she’ll manipulate, and as the player, it’s up to you how you go about each and every playthrough. It’s scarily good.

The game was originally released back in October 2023 for PC, but now Slay The Princess – The Pristine Cut is on its way to consoles, with a new edition promising a lot more story, gore, and overall content. If you’re not a fan of visual novel horror, trust us when we say that this will be the game that’ll change your mind. Judging by the PC version, upcoming visual novel horror games don’t get as good as this.

4. Until Dawn Remake

Originally developed by Supermassive Games, Until Dawn quickly became a cinematic masterpiece of horror for gamers.
