Jim Ivers

Jim Invers is the chief security strategist for Covata, and he leads all aspects of Covata’s strategy, messaging and positioning, brand development, demand generation, social media strategy, and analyst and public relations. Ivers has more than 30 years of experience in the software industry, including market strategy, go-to-market activities, product marketing, product management, and marketing communications. He has built and led successful marketing teams for startup companies to leading global enterprises in IT security, business intelligence and integration.

Most recently, Ivers was the chief marketing officer for Triumfant, an early-stage IT security software company, and was the CMO of Vovici, an enterprise feedback management company. Ivers was the senior vice president of Global Marketing for Cybertrust, a $170 million global information security company with 800 employees and business in North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim. In 2006, the Cybertrust marketing team was recognized as the Best Marketing Organization by the American Business Awards. Prior to Cybertrust, Ivers held marketing and business development executive roles at webMethods and Information Builders, each considered leaders in their respective markets. Ivers has a degree from the University of Central Florida.
