An In-Depth Monday CRM Review for 2024

Our Verdict

Monday CRM excels at offering feature-rich plans at an incredibly affordable price point

Monday CRM is easily the best option for SMBs on a budget, as you won’t be compromising on features. It boasts a phenomenal reputation, too. You’d really need to nitpick to find flaws.

Beyond all the CRM functionality you’d expect, you get built-in email capabilities, ample templates, and solid collaboration tools, including whiteboards. It’s also very easy to use.

The only real nitpick is that it lacks a free plan — but there is a 15-day free trial on offer. Some CRMs offer more AI capabilities too, but it all depends on your specific needs.

Monday CRM remains one of the best solutions if you’re after value for money.

Basic - $12/seat/month

Basic – $12/seat/month

Monday is one of the best small business CRMs, thanks to its incredibly affordable basic plan. It offers unlimited custom pipelines, contacts, and unlimited boards and viewers.

We were impressed that this plan also offers ready-made templates for leads, contacts, and deals, and you can even create an entire dashboard out of one board if needed.

That said, this plan lacks automation. Overall, though, although providers like Pipedrive are cheaper, Monday is budget-friendly compared to the likes of Salesforce or Act! CRM, for example.

Standard - $17/seat/month

Standard – $17/seat/month

This plan has an AI email generator that can quickly craft engaging email copy with a short prompt. It also offers 250 automation actions a month, enough for small and growing businesses.

Along with that, you even get templates for quotes and invoices, 2-way integration with Gmail and Outlook, activity management, and the ability to merge duplicate data to keep your CRM database clean.

Analytics and forecasting are among those not included in this plan, so sales teams will want to consider one of the plans below for this. Email marketing features are also not included in this plan.

Pro - $28/seat/month

Pro – $28/seat/month

This plan provides email tracking, sales analytics, and the ability to send out mass emails. It also includes custom email signatures, and you can integrate with Google Calendar.

All must-have features for sales teams, and it’s worth noting that this offers excellent value for money when compared to rivals. For example, mass email with Salesforce costs $52 more than this.

Enterprise - Custom

Enterprise – Custom

This plan is the go-to for large businesses in need of enterprise-level security, governance, automation, and integrations. Plus, you’ll get Monday’s deal-scoring feature.

This tells you how likely a deal is to be closed, ensuring your sales reps focus their time on qualified leads. Of course, this plan also offers things like multi-level permissions and HIPAA compliance.

Although Monday CRM doesn’t offer a free plan, as you’d find with Monday’s project management software, you still have a 14-day free trial that you can use on all the plans, apart from the Enterprise one.

Monday CRM’s Key Features

Having tested numerous CRMs, it was easy to pinpoint Monday CRM’s USPs and where it falls a bit short. Feature-wise here’s what we found was noteworthy during our Monday CRM review.

Email Marketing Features

Monday CRM Email Marketing

Emails are great for connecting with leads and customers, but manually emailing everyone isn’t convenient. With Monday CRM, you can send out bulk emails — each one personalized.

Then you can use the built-in email tracking to check when these emails are delivered and even opened. If you don’t know what to write, you can pick one of Monday’s email templates.

Or, you can use Monday’s AI email generator to compose professional and compelling email pieces. Talking of AI, we did find that Salesforce’s AI features were more advanced.

You can do just about everything with Salesforce’s AI – track conversations, get email insights, and automate lead scoring. The catch? It costs a whopping $330/month — 13x more than Monday.

Overall, despite not offering the most advanced capabilities, Monday suits most businesses pretty well. However, if you need more and have the budget, then certainly consider Salesforce.

Leads and Deal Management

Monday CRM Sales Pipeline

As the first point of contact with new leads is usually on your website, we liked how Monday CRM lets you embed contact forms on your site for lead generation.

Once you have the lead, Monday’s lead scoring offers insight into the chances of the deal being successful, so your sales reps can better prioritize leads. We found this all worked really well.

It also integrates with Gmail and Outlook, so any email received will be reflected on your Monday CRM account. Plus, as with emails, you have ample templates for leads, contact, and deal management.

After a lead materializes, you can use Monday’s deal pipeline feature to track the deal’s progress. Compared to HubSpot, for example, we found that Monday’s deal pipeline is easier to use.

For starters, you can add unlimited boards even on Monday’s most basic plan, which means you can manage unlimited deal pipelines. HubSpot only allows 15 pipelines on its $450/month plan.

Team Management Functions

Monday CRM lets you add unlimited free viewers to collaborate without incurring added costs. You’ll also get embedded documents and whiteboard collaboration.

Plus, Monday CRM logs every call, text, and email exchanged between your agents and customers — we’d expect nothing less from a CRM, but the interface is notably quite user-friendly.

On top of this, the highest-end plan also includes private workspaces, and micro-level session management, alongside valuable work performance insights.

Planning & Analytical Tools

Monday CRM Sales Dashboard

We have to start by mentioning the Headcount Planning tool. This helps you meet your hiring goals by helping you ensure that you aren’t over or under-utilizing your resources.

Sales Forecast, Sales Analytics, and Analytics also combine to offer ample insights into the metrics that matter most, so you’ll know your financial standing and your team/project performance, for example.

All of this can help you make important business decisions for the new quarter. That said, although Monday is known for its Kanban overview, it offers several other views.

You’ll have the option to use Timeline (or Gantt), calendar, map, and chart to visualize the work in progress, your leads, deals, or financial situation in a manner that makes it easiest for you and your team.

Monday CRM Integrations

Monday.com integrates with a wide variety of business apps – over 200, divided into multiple categories, including marketing, project management, software development, and team management.

Popular Monday.com integration partners are:

  • SuperForm
  • Quickbooks
  • Github
  • Miro
  • DocuGeb
  • SuperMail

While some may argue that 200+  is less than, say, a provider like Salesforce (which is, of course, costlier), Monday does well when compared to many competitors, like Agile, which offers 40+.

Overall, 200 isn’t the best, nor is it the worst. That isn’t a problem. What’s important is to note the integrations you need and to ensure the provider offers them on the plan you can afford.

Is Monday CRM Safe?

Monday CRM is undoubtedly very safe to use. For starters, the company protects your passwords by hashing and salting them, which makes it incredibly difficult for a hacker to decrypt them.

Day-to-day data is protected by AES- 256-bit encryption, too, whereas data in transit is protected by TLS 1.3 encryption — both industry-standard security protocols.

Beyond all this, Monday CRM also has a dedicated security wing comprising a CISO and Security Team and a wider Security Forum.

Monday CRM Customer Reviews

Monday is loved, which is evident in most of the Monday CRM reviews online. For instance, on GetApp, it’s rated 4.7/5. The key praise? It’s user-friendliness.

As we ourselves found, from the set-up process to the interface for day-to-day use, it won’t take much time for your team to get comfortable with it.

Monday CRM reviews on GetApp

Similarly, on G2, Monday CRM boasts a score of 4.6/5. User-friendliness is highlighted here, too, but you’ll also find many boasting about the value for money on offer.

Monday CRM review on G2

Monday CRM is affordable, especially when compared to the likes of services like HubSpot and Salesforce, and it provides adequate integration options.

Overall, finding flaws with Monday CRM requires serious nit-picking. It boasts a phenomenal reputation online and is, generally, an incredibly solid option for smaller businesses.

What is Monday CRM Good For?

Monday CRM is easily one of the best small business CRM solutions. It starts at just $12/month and offers enough features to cover the needs of a small, or even a growing, company.

Especially when you consider that many of these features are made unlimited from the get-go. For instance, you get unlimited boards, custom pipelines, contacts, and free viewers.

Plus, you also get 200+ templates to fit the unique needs of your business. Some would argue that Monday is also among the top Enterprise CRMs, it all depends on your specific needs and budget.

Monday CRM Vs Top Competitors

Monday CRM, despite being a fantastic tool, isn’t for everyone. To help you decide, here are some of the key Monday CRM alternatives and a look at how it compares to leading rivals:

Monday CRM Salesforce Pipedrive HubSpot Act!

Monday CRM Vs Salesforce

Monday CRM is undoubtedly a top choice for small businesses. It’s affordable and offers good feature-to-price value in all of its plans. You get user-friendly email marketing and tracking, for instance.

In-depth analytics are also a strong suite of Monday CRM, as are the lead management tools. However, if you prioritize integrations, customer support, and AI automation, then Salesforce is best.

While Monday CRM allows integrations with 200+ apps, Salesforce allows integration with a whopping 3,000+ tools. And it’s also the only one of the two with a live phone support line.

Overall, both of these CRMs are easily among the very best CRM solutions on the market today. Which one you choose depends on your specific needs and, of course, your budget.

If you’re a large business owner, go for Salesforce. Besides the above, Salesforce’s Einstein doubles up as a personal assistant, which proves invaluable for enterprises.

Monday CRM Vs Hubspot

As most Monday CRM reviews state, including ours, it’s really simple to use and affordable. HubSpot, on the other hand, is on the pricier end, especially the plans for large businesses.

If you’re an enterprise-level business and need advanced functions like smart send times, then HubSpot is your best bet. It’s more scalable, too.

Depending on your needs (and budget), it also has better features, such as a native payment system and a product library with the ability to add up to 15 million products.

Monday CRM Vs Pipedrive

Monday and Pipeline are similar, but there are a few key differences. For instance, if you’re looking for a robust email marketing tool, Monday.com is a better option since all of its plans include this.

You’d have to purchase this as an add-on with Pipedrive. That said, if integrations and collaboration are your priority, Pipedrive is a better pick. It offers 300+ integrations.

However, if you’re after a multi-functional platform, Monday is your best bet. It offers project management, HR, finance, sales, and marketing tools, amongst others — unlike Pipedrive.

Verdict – Is Monday CRM Worth it?

Monday CRM is ideal for businesses looking for an affordable yet competent CRM solution. It lacks a free plan which might be a bummer for startups, but overall, it offers insane value for money.

It offers a lot of critical customer management features that have no limit on usage, alongside 200+  templates. Not to mention that the platform is incredibly easy to use, requiring next to no training.

Integration-wise, and even in terms of AI and advanced automation, it is somewhat lacking compared to rivals like Salesforce. Whether Monday is best depends on your specific needs and budget.

How We Test Best CRM Services

Our team at Tehcopedia has over 13 years of experience testing all the latest and leading tech, including the best CRM apps, project management software, and hosting services.

Before we compile a review like this, we run multiple tests over a 2-week period to check the efficiency of the features, the app’s usability (across platforms), and the quality of the support on offer.

Having tested similar products, we’re in the position to pinpoint where a specific tool stands out and where it doesn’t quite meet the bar of other solutions we’ve used.

Beyond our first-hand testing, we also dig out the feedback from others on reputable review sites to ensure that we offer an all-rounded overview of the product.

How to Choose the Best CRM Provider

Here’s a list of factors that you should consider when picking a CRM provider:

PriceFeaturesScalabilityEase of UseIntegrationCustomer SupportHidden Costs

Knowing what you can spend is key to choosing the best CRM service, as providers cater to different audiences. From budget options to enterprise-level CRMs, there are ample options.

The functionality on offer with a CRM service varies considerably. It’s key to note what features you need to check whether the provider offers it on the plan that you can afford. Some features, including key ones like analytics, are often reserved for higher-end plans.

It makes sense to choose a small CRM service when starting out, but make sure it has the bandwidth to grow with your company. Whether you have 100 customers or 10,000, pick a provider that can handle both so that you can stay with them for as long as possible.

Usability is a factor that any business simply can’t ignore. We advise making use of any free trials, plans, or money-back guarantees to test the tool in practice before committing.

Being able to integrate with your tech stack is a key consideration. Some integrations may not be available, or they are, but on higher-end plans. Be sure to check whether you can integrate with the tools your business is already using to streamline your workflow.

Be sure to choose a platform with reliable support, ideally through multiple channels, such as email, chat, and phone. Any CRM with solid ratings is bound to provide the support you need, but do note that this varies depending on your plan.

Make sure you read the fine print of your contract before committing and double-check what is and isn’t included in your plan. Sometimes, services hike prices after renewal or certain features are add-ons.
