Techopedia Explains Reseller Hosting

Reseller hosting is primarily a business development model provided by a Web hosting service/provider. Through this model, one or more organizations lease out Web space that is packaged, rebranded and sold under their brand name. Depending on the primary hosting service provider, each reseller host may be provided with a complete white/private labeled control panel to manage their leased space and their particular customers.

Although the reseller host will handle billing and technical support, it is always dependent on the primary host for additional Web space and the resolution of technical issues.
