Definition - What does Facebooking mean?

Facebooking is Internet jargon that refers to the act of logging on and using Facebook, a popular social media website. Facebooking can include making status updates, posting videos, photos or links or commenting on posts made by the user's Facebook "friends."

Techopedia explains Facebooking

Facebook was founded in 2004 to allow college students to connect. It has since become one of the most popular ways to interact online, with many users logging in several times each day. As of 2011, Facebook had more than 800 million active users.

The term Facebooking is similar in significance to "Googling," the term used to describe the act of conducting a search on the Google search engine. When a product name comes to be used as a noun, this a clear sign of its transcendence from a mere brand or tool to a common part of everyday life.
