[WEBINAR] The New Normal: Dealing with the Reality of an Unsecure World

Definition - What does CCleaner mean?

CCleaner is a software product from Piriform that facilitates registry organization and optimization by deleting previously installed and unnecessary program components, such as independent Web browsers and other applications. CCleaner also helps users eliminate cookies, small files and other bits of information that slow device performance.

Techopedia explains CCleaner

CCleaner is available for Mac OS 7, as well as older and more recent versions of Microsoft Windows, like XP and 7.

Since the release of CCleaner's first version in 2008, Piriform has applied significant enhancements to later versions, provided better browser support and recognized requirements of other popular programs, such as BitTorrent. Recent versions come with reduced bug issues, optimized operations, an upgraded graphical user interface (GUI) and added security features.
