A static shielding bag is made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material. It is similar to a plastic bag but may take a foamy or bubble-wrapped shape. Depending on its packed materials, a static shielding bag’s colors may be silver, black or pink.

Static shielding bags are designed according to Faraday Cage principles, which eliminate external static and non-static electric fields.

A static shielding bag also has a thick layer that protects equipment from mechanical damage.
