A network usage monitor provides basic network utilization data in relation to the available network capacity. Depending upon the capability of the application, the network usage monitor provides information such as:

  • Total number and size of data download/upload per computer and overall bandwidth utilized

  • List of websites visited, visit duration, data downloaded and more

Network usage monitors are usually designed for consumer-level end users looking to review their home or small business networks in terms of data/services utilization per device.
