Definition - What does Bloom Box mean?

Bloom Box is a type of device that consists of modular solid oxide fuel cells capable of producing and delivering electricity.

It is a distributed power generator capable of producing electricity for commercial and domestic use from a very small form-factor device.

Bloom Box is also known as Bloom Energy Server.

Bloom Box produces electricity using renewable and energy-efficient fuel sources. It was designed to be used as a portable, cost-effective and eco-friendly mode of producing and delivering electricity. A single Bloom Box can produce up to 200kW of power. Being modular equipment, each Bloom Box can be serviced separately without interrupting the mainstream electricity supply.

Because of its portability and efficiency, Bloom Box can easily be installed and used within a data center, or at remote or outdoor IT facilities.
