  • Driving While Texting (DWT): Composing, reading and sending texts while operating a vehicle.

Drunk Texting: Texting friends, family, coworkers and significant others while intoxicated.

Techopedia Explains Drexting

Driving while texting is the more serious of the two types of drexting. In some areas of the world, driving while texting is illegal because it is believed to increase the risk of automobile collisions. Splitting your attention (and hands) between operating the tiny buttons on a phone and the wheel controlling several tons of steel hurtling down the road is a questionable decision at best.

Drunk texting, while far less dangerous physically, may result in socially embarrassing apologies when your mother receives the steamy text intended for your girlfriend.
