A Certified Novell Engineer may also be called a Certified NetWare Engineer, although the name has been changed to reflect the fact that the Novell line and certification do not focus exclusively on the NetWare product.

Techopedia Explains Certified Novell Engineer

The CNE is a basic certification that can be followed by a Master Certified Novell Engineer (MCNE) certification. This will demonstrate a higher level of proficiency in networking management.
