One of the famous intercollegiate programs in the country, the University of Michigan Wolverines, claims 11 national football titles, nine ice hockey titles, two baseball titles, and a basketball title. Its home football field, Michigan Stadium, nicknamed “The Big House,” is one of the largest in the country, with a capacity of 107,601.

Michigan State University Spartans

Intercollegiate teams representing Michigan State University, nicknamed the Spartans, are some of the most successful in NCAA Division I. Its men’s basketball program produced Magic Johnson, who won a national championship with the school in 1979. Under head coach Tom Izzo, the team made six of 12 NCAA Finals Fours between 1999 and 2010, winning the school’s second national championship in 2000. Oakland University Golden Grizzlies

Oakland University Golden Grizzlies are a member of NCAA Division I, competing in the Horizon League. Western Michigan University Broncos

Intercollegiate teams from Western Michigan University, known as the Broncos, compete in NCAA Division I in the MAC.
