Genshin Impact 5.1 New Character
The 5.1 update will introduce three new Genshin Impact characters to the main story: Citlali, Ororon, and Xilonen. Xilonen will be the only playable character at this time and can be pulled from the first half of the 5.1 banner. For more, we’re rounding up the best Genshin Impact characters in 2024.
Who is Xilonen?
Xilonen is a renowned smith who is known for crafting legendary gear such as the Pyron Archon’s sunglasses and is a skilled warrior in her own right.
Xilonen is a five-star geo sword wielder and is both an excellent climber and can perform agile leaps off cliff walls.
Xilonen offers support by reducing enemy elemental resistance and can heal allies with Samplers.
The three samplers initially record Geo Source Samples, which can be activated through her elemental skill to reduce enemy elemental resistance and increase her normal and plunging attack damage.
Source Samples experience Elemental Conversion when paired with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro characters. These can only be activated after filling out her Nightsoul Points through normal attacks, and reduce enemy resistance to the corresponding element.
If two or more samples undergo elemental conversion, Xilonen can activate them more quickly, shifting her Elemental Burst from dealing Geo AoE damage to healing nearby active teammates.
Xilonen can also help the team regain Phlogiston by triggering a Nightsoul Transmission.
The Genshin Impact 5.1 banner will be released in two phases.
Phase 1:
- Phase 1 runs from October 9 – October 29, 2024

- Peak Patrol Song (five-star Sword)
- Fruitful Hook (four-star Claymore)

- Mountain-Crushing Nail (four-star Polearm)
We can assume the Peak Patrol Song could potentially belong to Xilonen, as she is confirmed to be a Geo sword user. This has yet to be confirmed
We will update you once the weapons have been announced.
Genshin Impact 5.1 Quests
The new Genshin Impact quest will bring two new acts to the Archon Quest Chapter V, act III “Beyond the Smoke and Mirrors” and act IV “The Rainbow Destined to Burn”.
Players will work together with Xilonen to forge a new name for the Traveler. Citlali appears to lend a hand, whilst Ororon puts a secret plan into action.
These quests will take place on the newly revealed Genshin Impact map Natlan, where players will assist in thwarting the Abyss threat.
Players will be able to claim 500 primogems upon completing the two new acts. An additional 400 primogems can be earned by completing specific world quest and gaining Natlan Exploration progress.
