To understand the learner’s experience, we signed up for a Trakstar Academy course hosted on the Trakstar platform. We found the interface easy to navigate. But its UI is outdated compared to Connecteam and iSpring Learn, which some users may find unappealing.

Unlike other LMS, Trakstar Learn integrates with the Trakstar ecosystem (Hire, Perform, and Insights) to provide HR managers with a complete workforce management solution.

Overall: Trakstar Learn is perfect for enterprises with multiple departments requiring specific compliance training or onboarding protocols.

Connecteam – Best For Small Businesses

Connecteam is a simple LMS offering premade courses covering topics like onboarding, safety, sexual harassment, etc. This allows small business owners to complete employee compliance training without spending time creating content from scratch.

If you need custom training material, you can edit the templates or build your own using the course creator. It supports various content types like video, audio, and PDFs so employees can enjoy a diverse learning experience.

But what sets Connecteam apart is its knowledge center feature. Businesses can organize their courses and training material in a single location for employees to access at any time. They can find answers to pressing questions immediately, ensuring operations can run smoothly without involving managers at every turn.

All this information—training, courses, quizzes, and the knowledge base—is available via the mobile app, making it easier for remote employees (delivery executives, servers, etc.) to access on the move. If any employee hasn’t completed training, you can send them push notifications via the app. However, you need to manually initiate these notifications, unlike Trakstar, where it’s automatic.

Connecteam has five different plans divided on business size, including a Small Business Plan that offers lifetime access to all its features for free—making it the most affordable solution, not just among Connecteam plans but also on the list..

The downside: the plan only supports up to 10 users. But this shouldn’t be a challenge since small businesses tend to have fewer employees. To add more users, upgrade to a paid plan, starting at $49/month for up to 30 users.

NOTE: We didn’t include the Basic plan ($29/month) because it doesn’t offer all the features the Free Plan does, making it a bad investment, in our opinion.

SkyPrep – Best For Monetizing Your Training Content

Like Trakstar and Connecteam, SkyPrep has a straightforward course builder that lets you drag and drop PDFs, SCORM content, videos, or links to populate your courses. You can also include quizzes and assessments to test your students.

But SkyPrep also offers two additional use cases: customer training and course monetization—unlike the others which solely focus on employee training.

You can organize your courses in dedicated portals so you can offer personalized customer training programs where customers can:

  • Learn what your product can do,
  • Clarify any doubts or questions, and
  • Understand your product’s benefit

Ideally, you’ll be able to create a Hubspot- or Google-like training program—setting yourself apart from the competition by adding a unique customer experience.
