Anker’s new Soundcore Sleep A20 earbuds arrived just in time for World Sleep Day on March 15.
Designed to improve sleep quality, these wireless earbuds block out noise without active noise cancellation. They rely on Twin-Seal ear tips that triple the noise-blocking efficiency of standard silicone tips.
Sleep A20 will launch on Kickstarter on April 16th for an early bird price of $89.99 before hitting Amazon on May 20th at a regular price of $149.99.
Sleep A20 earbuds don’t just block out snoring or other nighttime disturbances; they also play white noise from a preloaded sound library to promote better sleep. Anker has focused on comfort, particularly for side sleepers, ensuring the earbuds remain snug and unobtrusive throughout the night.
One of the most significant upgrades from the previous A10 model is the extended battery life. The A20 offers 14 hours of continuous white noise playback in Sleep mode, a jump from the A10’s 10 hours, and can last up to 80 hours with the charging case. Streaming music directly from a phone has a battery life of 10 hours.
Additional features include a built-in alarm to gently wake the wearer without disturbing others, automatic sleep monitoring with position tracking, and a bud-finder function via the companion app. It addresses one of the typical inconveniences of small, sleep-friendly earbuds.
With Bose discontinuing its Sleepbuds II, Anker’s A20 arrives as a strong alternative in the sleep aid market. It is joined by newcomers like the Ozlo Sleepbuds by former Bose employees, signaling a growing interest in tech solutions for better sleep.
