Bose has introduced the SoundLink Home Bluetooth Speaker, the latest enhancement to its SoundLink wireless lineup.
Constructed from anodized aluminum and featuring a fabric grille, the compact speaker measures 8.5in wide, 4.4in high, and 2.3in deep, weighing 1.93lbs.
While small speakers often compromise audio quality, Bose claims its full-range transducer and dual passive radiators deliver deep bass that fills any room, along with “premium sound” and “great acoustics.”
The speaker includes Bluetooth 5.3 with a range of approximately 30ft and offers USB-C input. It provides up to nine hours of battery capacity, recharges in four hours, and features a built-in microphone for phone calls and access to your device’s voice assistant. It is also capable of pairing with a second speaker to create a stereo sound experience.
However, the SoundLink Home Speaker does not have Wi-Fi, which means it is without AirPlay support found in other Bose speakers. Additionally, while intended for indoor use, the SoundLink Home should be kept away from the kitchen due to its lack of water and dust resistance.
Bose's new Bluetooth speaker is gorgeous.

The SoundLink Home Bluetooth Speaker is available on Bose‘s official website in light silver or cool gray for $219, which is more expensive than Sonos’ Roam 2 Portable Speaker priced at $179. Ultimately, Bose is banking on its design and audio performance.
