Google’s Gemini Live is now available for all Android phones.

The search giant announced the feature at its Made By Google launch event in August. It was initially available on the latest-generation Pixel 9 series and as a part of Gemini Advanced subscription on other devices.

Now, Gemini Live can be accessed by all users in the Gemini app. It only supports the English language at the moment with additional languages expected to be added in the future. There are 10 voices to choose from. Compatible Android phones can find a sparkle icon at the bottom right corner beside the microphone and camera buttons. Tapping it will let you access Gemini Live. There is a full-screen interface with hold and end buttons that seem similar to a phone call. The feature offers a two-way conversational experience. It also provides hands-free usage for when you’re on the go and would prefer a verbal conversation.

Gemini Live is essentially an enhanced version of Google Assistant. You can engage in exploring ideas, brainstorming, and real-time discussions. Additionally, you can also interrupt Gemini Live’s responses and fill in new instructions or information. You can pause a conversation and come back later. The feature also works in the background or when the phone is locked.

Gemini Live’s free rollout is happening globally and in a phased manner. So it might take some time if your device has not received the feature. Google also stated that the feature will be rolled out to iOS users in the coming weeks.
