  • They use a Tensor A1 chip for better noise cancellation and conversation detection.
  • Wing tips help them stay in your ears during workouts.

Google used its hardware event to launch the Pixel Buds Pro 2, its first earbuds to include a Tensor chip.

The Tensor A1 allows for twice-as-better active noise cancellation (ANC) as well as conversation detection. Battery life has improved, too, at a peak eight hours by themselves and up to 30 hours when using the case.

This also ties into Gemini, letting you ask the AI questions without reaching for your phone.

They’re now more suited to the gym thanks to the return of wing tips that should keep the buds in your ears during hectic workouts. The case, meanwhile, has an AirPods Pro-2-style speaker that can provide more feedback and help you locate them using Find My.

The buds are lighter and smaller, and potentially the most comfortable earbuds in their class.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are available for pre-order today at $229.
