Honor Magic V3 global variant spotted on popular smartphone listing portal

Honor recently released its Honor Magic V3 foldable smartphone in China. The device is expected to make its global debut soon. 

Now, a new variant of the handset has been spotted on a listing by Geekbench, which gives us a hint of what we can expect from the foldable handset. The model number appears to be “FCP-N49”.

Although the listing doesn’t explicitly mention the phone’s name, it identifies it as the same model number as that found on a Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) listing with the Honor Magic V3 designation.

Honor Magic V3: Chinese Features

As per the listing, the device features an octa-core processor which has reportedly scored 1,914 points in the single-core test and 5,354 points in the multi-core test. The device is expected to come with:

  • the Adreno 750 GPU;
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC;
  • 12GB of RAM.

The global variant of the Honor Magic V3 is expected to feature specifications similar to those of the one that was launched in China(model number FCP-AN10).

The Chinese variant of the Honor Magic V3 comes with two screens. The phone packs a 7.92-inch primary LTPO OLED screen along with a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED cover display. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 16GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device comes with an IPX8 certification for improved dust and water resistance. 

The handset runs on MagicOS 8.0.1 based on Android 14. As for cameras, it comes with a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary shooter, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 40-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera. The Honor Magic V3 also gets a 40-megapixel wide-angle inner camera for selfies. The Honor Magic V3 is backed by a 5,150mAh battery with support for 66W fast wired charging.
