Eight months after the global launch of its Magic 6 Pro smartphone, Chinese-based consumer electronic device maker Honor is set to launch its Magic 7 smartphone series in China on October 30.

In a post confirming the announcement, Honor CEO Zhao Ming-George shared on Weibo that the Magic 7 series release will come just a week after the unveiling of Magic OS 9.0 on October 23.

Built on Android 15, Magic OS 9.0 promises to integrate advanced AI features, including a new AI Agent designed to compete with those from tech giants like Apple and Samsung.

According to Android Authority, the Magic 7 Pro is expected to sport Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, placing it among the first smartphones to use this advanced technology.

While details are thin, the Honor Magic 7 series is rumored to include two models: a standard version and a premium Pro variant. Leaks have appeared on X showing how the Magic 7 can be operated via voice prompt.

There are speculations that the Pro model will feature advanced security options like an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and fast charging capabilities of up to 100W wired and 80W wireless.

While the initial launch will be exclusive to China, Honor typically rolls out its flagship devices globally in the first or second quarter of the following year. This means that international customers may have to wait until 2025 to get their hands on the Magic 7 series.

With the release of the Honor Magic V3 last September in the U.S. and the Magic 7 flagship now on the horizon, Honor seems ready to compete with rivals such as Oppo and Vivo, both of which are preparing for their own flagship launches.
