Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is confirmed for PS5 and PC, possibly launching with the PS5 Pro later this year, following its removal from PS Plus.
The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated the game, confirming its release on both platforms.

The rating adds credibility to the remaster, but no release date has been announced. Speculation suggests Guerrilla Games may update Horizon Zero Dawn as a launch title for the PS5 Pro, which is slated to arrive on November 7th, 2024.
Released on PS4 in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn could benefit from a PS5 remaster and match its sequel, Forbidden West, which launched on PS5 and PS4 in 2022. The game was previously available on PS Plus, including the Complete Edition with The Frozen Wilds DLC, before being removed earlier this year.

Horizon Zero Dawn, a 2017 action RPG developed by Guerrilla Games, follows the hunter Aloy in a post-apocalyptic world teeming with robotic creatures as she uncovers her origins. The game features an expansive open world, exploration, and side quests. It has sold over 24 million units, making it a top PlayStation Studios best-seller.
In 2022, Horizon Forbidden West was released as the second game in the series, followed by the PSVR2-only Horizon Call of the Mountain in 2023. In June, Guerrilla and Sony announced Lego Horizon Adventures, a kid-friendly top-down co-op action game for PC, PS5, and Switch, set to release later this year. Guerrilla is also developing a multiplayer Horizon game.
