HP’s newly launched OmniBook Ultra Flip is the brand’s first convertible Copilot+ PC.
The latest offering has been announced at the HP Imagine 2024 event. The OmniBook Ultra Flip’s 2-in-1 convertible design means that it can be used in various form factors. This makes it ideal for content creators. The device arrives after the OmniBook Ultra, which was introduced two months ago.
The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip comes with a 14in touch-enabled OLED display. It bears a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels along with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, and 500 nits peak brightness. The device offers a 90% screen-to-body ratio. The laptop measures 15mm thick and weighs only 1.35kg.
The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip features a full-sized backlit keyboard that has a dedicated copilot key. There is an AI-enabled 9MP IR camera with low light adjustment and HDR auto switch. It also has features like lock on leave, wake on approach, adaptive dimming, screen time, and screen distance reminders. On the audio front, the machine is equipped with quad speakers and dual-array digital microphones.
In terms of hardware, the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor along with Intel Arc graphics onboard. The dedicated AI engine is said to deliver up to 48 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second). The machine can be configured with up to 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD storage. The convertible laptop is claimed to offer up to 20 hours of battery life and support fast charging via the 65W USB-C adapter.
The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip runs on Windows 11 Home OS. It comes with support for hand gestures that allow you to scroll up and down, adjusting volume, controlling media and presentations. The laptop is confirmed to receive Microsoft Copilot+ updates when it is rolled out later this year. It will include features like live captions, image generation, Windows Studio effects, Recall, and more.
The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip carries a starting price tag of $1,450. It is available for purchase starting today from HP’s website.
