Jabra has announced next-gen models for its Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active earbuds, less than a year after the first gen debuted last August.

The Elite 10 Gen 2 and Elite 8 Active Gen 2 earbuds come with what Jabra calls “the world’s first” LE Audio smart case. You get a 2-in-1 cable that plugs into any USB-C or 3.5mm jack to wirelessly transmit audio to the earbuds, so you can connect directly to gym equipment, an in-flight audio system, or TV while remaining wireless on your end.

Though there are already similar options on the market, Jabra claims its new chip provides better overall sound quality and transmits LE Audio with lower latency thanks to the LC3 Bluetooth codec.

There are some key upgrades to noise cancellation too, with improved active noise cancellation (ANC) across both models to block up to twice as much noise as the first gen. The earbuds’ internal feedback mics have been tweaked to better block low and mid-frequency sounds, while an updated ANC algorithm better utilizes the buds’ adaptive capabilities, for a better listening experience in noisy environments like gyms and airports.

Updated noise-reduction algorithms promise enhanced voice recognition to prioritize your voice and reduce background noise.

Jabra has also fine-tuned HearThrough mode, with Natural HearThrough mode offering enhanced sound outdoors for better situational awareness, promising twice as effective wind noise reduction. There’s also improved tuning for spatial sound.

The new models won’t look any different from their predecessors, though Jabra’s offering new color options. The Elite 10 Gen 2 are available in Gloss Black, Titanium Black, Cocoa, and new Soft White and Denim colorways, retailing at $280.

Jabra is taking pre-orders for the Elite 8 Active Gen 2 in navy, black, and two new options, Olive and Coral. They sell for $230.
