Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been delayed from 2024 to early 2025.
Techopedia previously reported that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was expected to release in late fall or winter of 2024, but there was a slight possibility of a delay to 2025.
It turns out our guess was right, as Warhorse’s public relations manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, posted a video on X revealing that the game is releasing on February 11, 2025 instead of late 2024.
A message from Warhorse Studios! The official release date for #KCD2 is 11 February 2025.
It's a long wait, but we have a lot to show you between now and release, starting with:
⚔️ 20+ min gameplay showcase at #Gamescom2024
⚔️ Collectors Edition Reveal
⚔️ Previews from Press and… pic.twitter.com/YSJrxdZZZT— Warhorse Studios (@WarhorseStudios) August 15, 2024
Although no exact reason for the delay was given, Tobias mentioned that they will release the game trailer during the Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live showcase on August 20.
Warhorse Studios will also showcase over 20 minutes of gameplay for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on August 21. In addition, a collector’s edition will be unveiled at Gamescom, and attendees will have the opportunity to play a demo.
Games getting delayed from their original release dates has become a common practice in the gaming industry. The first edition of Kingdom Come also experienced a long delay in its release, and the same is true for the upcoming edition.
That said, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be twice as big as the original game, and you will see improved animations, new weapons, an epic story, and dynamic NPCs. The game will be playable on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
