Motorola’s enterprise-focussed ThinkPhone 25 is here as the successor to last year’s ThinkPhone.
It is similar to Lenovo’s ThinkPad laptops which are catered towards business-centric customers.
The Motorola ThinkPad 25 retains the aramid fiber back panel from its predecessor. It has a raised camera bump at the top left corner, which is similar to Motorola’s consumer phones. There is a ThinkPad branding at the bottom right corner. The device packs an IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification that can withstand tough conditions and ensure durability.
On the front, the ThinkPhone 25 features a 6.36in pOLED display bearing a Super HD resolution and an integrated fingerprint scanner. It offers a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, HDR10+, and a 3,000 nits peak brightness. The screen is shielded by Gorilla Glass 7i that was announced in June this year for mid-range smartphones.
Being an enterprise smartphone, it has a triple rear camera. The setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700C sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto unit with 3x zoom. The device features a 32MP snapper on the front for selfies.
Under the hood, the Motorola ThinkPhone 25 is equipped with a Dimensity 7300 processor. It has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The phone draws its power from a 4,300mAh battery unit with support for 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. Software-wise, it ships with Android 14 and is eligible to receive five years of OS updates and security patches till 2029. This is the same as the Edge 50 Neo that was announced last month.
The Motorola ThinkPhone 25 packs business-centric features including ThinkShield security for protecting data from malware, phishing, and other threats. There are also hardware-based AI security features. With the Smart Connect, users can navigate between the ThinkPhone 25, tablet, and PC.
The Motorola ThinkPhone 25 costs £450. It will be available for purchase in the UK starting next month.
