Ninja Theory, the developer of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, has begun sharing daily updates about the game until its launch on May 21st.

The first reveal, a serene screenshot posted on X (formerly Twitter), depicts protagonist Senua in a tranquil setting, contrasting with the game’s intense battles revealed in previous trailers.

“Sharing something from Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II every day in May until launch, day one: Let’s start with a new screenshot,” reads the post.

The announcement coincides with a busy month for gaming, with other notable releases like Ghost of Tsushima on PC and System Shock.

As the release date nears, players can expect more insights into Hellblade 2‘s combat system, promising a potentially seamless mix of action and storytelling.

Hellblade 2 has spent a long time in development, having been first unveiled in 2019. The action adventure is expected to provide revitalized combat, puzzle, and exploration systems compared to the 2017 original.

We also know the sequel is set in Iceland, with Senua confronting Viking marauders. Senua’s actor, Melina Juergens, has undergone intensive combat training for her role.
