Nintendo of Canada has announced that fans will be able to play The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom at select GameStop stores across the country starting September 28.
This will give players a hands-on experience with the new game shortly after its official release, offering a chance to explore the latest chapter in the iconic Zelda series before purchasing it.
In this new entry, Princess Zelda steps into the spotlight as the lead character, a significant shift from previous games where Link traditionally played the central role.
Despite the change in focus, fans of Link won’t be left out, as the ESRB recently confirmed that Link will also be a playable character, albeit it seems for a limited part of the game.
Nintendo has been gradually building excitement for Echoes of Wisdom, releasing more information and footage before its launch.
A trailer released last month showcased new regions of Hyrule, revealing a mix of familiar landscapes and new, unexplored areas. The trailer also highlighted some of the game’s key mechanics, giving a better understanding of what players can expect.
In other Echoes of Wisdom news, Nintendo recently took down leaked gameplay videos that surfaced online after a ROM leak appeared last week.
For Canadians interested in trying the game before purchase, heading to a participating GameStop location starting September 28 is a great way to get an early taste of the action. If you can’t make it to one of the demos, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will officially launch for the Nintendo Switch on September 26, 2024.
