The Oura Ring 4 is now completely circular instead of the flat edge on its predecessor. Notably, the sensors located on the interior of the ring are recessed instead of the dome covers for a comfortable experience. The newest smart ring also sports a full titanium body. It is water-resistant up to 100m making it suitable for swimming. The wearable device is offered in sizes ranging from 4 to 15. It can be availed in six finishes – Gold, Rose Gold, Brushed Silver, Silver, Black, and Stealth.

In terms of health, Oura says that its fourth-generation ring features 18 distinct signal pathways compared to eight on the predecessor model. This coupled with the Smart Sensing algorithm automatically prioritizes the optimal path for increased accuracy and consistent readings. The Ring 4 is capable of tracking sleep patterns, workout detection for up to 40 activities, 24×7 heart rate monitoring, HRV, and blood oxygen measurement. There is also a readiness score and illness detection. The daytime stress tracking provides a resilience feature that allows users to understand how well their body recovers from physiological stress. With the Ring 4, Oura has also introduced the Fertile Window prediction feature in the reproductive health tracking for people who are trying to conceive.

The Oura Ring 4 is compatible with Android and iOS. It is said to offer up to eight days of battery life on a single charge and can be topped up via a charging cradle.

The Oura Ring 4 carries a starting price tag of $349 depending on the type of finish you choose. It is up for pre-orders starting today from the brand’s website, Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. Shipments will commence on October 15. The Oura Membership costs $5.99 a month or $69.99 annually.

Oura App gets a refresh as well

Oura has also redesigned its companion app. It now offers a new design that is aimed to focus on holistic health. It is divided into three tabs – Today, Vitals, and My Health. Each of these sections will display related data in an organized and easy-to-digest manner.
