Sony is marking the 30th anniversary of PlayStation with a collection of limited edition hardware, including a PS5 Pro console that harkens back to the original system.

The new retro-themed model (pictured below), like the 20th Anniversary PS4 before it, comes in a matte gray color that recalls the first PlayStation. The bundel also includes matching DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers, a charging station, and even a cover for the optional Blu-ray drive.

The USB-C gamepad cables have a housing that mimics the PlayStation original, and you’ll get bonuses like a vertical stand, cable ties, a sticker, a poster, and a paperclip. The 30th Anniversary model is the same as the regular PS5 Pro on the inside, including the 2TB SSD.

There are other options. A standard PS5 30th Anniversary Limited Edition offers the same perks in a more affordable console with a 1TB SSD. If you like gaming from afar, there’s an anniversary PlayStation Portal. You can also buy the special DualSense and DualSense Edge gamepads by themselves.

Sony has set a release date of November 21st for the limited edition PS5 Pro and other 30th Anniversary devices. Pre-orders start September 26th at direct.playstation.com where it’s available, and at certain retailers where it isn’t. You’ll need a PSN account for the direct route, and the anniversary model of the regular PS5 will go up for pre-orders on October 10th. Prices aren’t yet available.

You’ll have to act very quickly if you want the PS5 Pro. Sony is making just 12,300 units available worldwide (to mark the December 3rd, 1994 launch). That could easily make it a collector’s item; whatever you pay might be worthwhile for the exclusivity, or at least the premium you might get selling it later on.
