The Redmi Watch 5 Lite will be available in India starting tomorrow, with the launch coming a month after the Redmi Watch 5 Active.
There are only a few differences between the Active and the Lite models from the Xiaomi sub-brand, with the latter packing support for built-in GPS while also being priced slightly higher. The rest of the specifications remain the same on both the Redmi Watch 5 duo.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite has a 1.96in AMOLED display, which is slightly smaller than the Active’s 2in screen. It has a 600 nits peak brightness for better visibility in outdoor environments. There is always on display, palm touch to sleep, and raise to wake features. The wearable device has a multi-functional physical button on the right side and it is water-resistant up to 5ATM.
In terms of health and fitness, the Redmi Watch 5 Lite is equipped with a heart-rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, sleep, and stress tracker. It is capable of tracking more than 150 sports modes with auto-detection for a few activities and 10 built-in running courses. With the onboard five-system GPS, you can ditch your smartphone for outdoor activities.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite comes with a built-in microphone and speaker for hands-free Bluetooth calling with ENC. There is also support for Alexa voice assistant. The smartwatch runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS with features like weather and event updates, customizable widgets, find your phone, controlling camera shutter and music playback, and more. The wearable device is powered by a 470mAh battery that is claimed to offer up to 18 days of usage on a single charge.
The Redmi Watch 5 Lite is priced at Rs 3,999 and comes in Black and Light Gold. It can be purchased starting September 26 from Amazon and mi.com.
