The Samsung Galaxy M05 has been introduced in India as the successor to last year’s Galaxy M04.
The latest M-series device is an affordable offering. It is aimed at first-time smartphone users and buyers. The Galaxy M05 has similar specifications as the Galaxy A05. The South Korean brand recently launched the Galaxy A06 in the country.
The Samsung Galaxy M05 offers a large 6.7in LCD screen bearing an HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. It has a U-shaped notch and the display is surrounded by minimal bezels with a thick bottom chin. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button. The back panel features two camera rings comprising a 50MP main sensor with f/1.8 and a 2MP depth unit. The smartphone has an 8MP front-facing selfie snapper.
In terms of hardware, the Samsung Galaxy M05 runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. The device features 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. The latter can be expanded via a microSD card slot for additional needs. The device draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit that can be topped up via 25W charging. Software-wise, the Galaxy M05 ships with OneUI 6.1 layered on the top of Android 14. The phone is confirmed to receive two OS updates and four years of security patches.
The Samsung Galaxy M05 carries a price tag of Rs 7,999 and is offered in a Mint Green colour. It is already available for purchase from the brand’s website, Amazon, and retail stores across the country.
