Sony has launched its Bravia Theatre U neckband in India, designed to offer a home-theater surround sound experience in a portable device.
Priced under Rs 25,000 (approx $299), this device is tailored to complement Bravia TVs and will allow users to consume content at high volumes without worrying about the surroundings, which is a problem often associated with home theater systems.
Bravia Theatre: Features
The Sony Bravia Theatre U is designed to be used for extended viewing sessions without disturbing your surroundings. It is constructed out of cushioned materials and offers adjustable features to accommodate various head sizes. The Bravia Theatre U comes with support for Dolby Atmos. There is a 360 Spatial Sound feature that creates a personalized spatial sound field for an improved listening experience when paired with compatible Bravia TVs.
Users can connect two Bravia Theatre U speakers to a single compatible device using the Speaker Add function allowing two users to watch the content. It comes with noise isolation technology, which minimizes external sound leakage.
Sony claims the neckband can offer up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge. Additionally, the quick charge feature is said to provide an extra hour of playtime with just 10 minutes of charge. The device has an AI-based noise reduction algorithm for an improved calling experience. The technology isolates the speaker’s voice from background sounds.
The neckband also supports multipoint connection, which will allow users to connect and switch between two devices simultaneously.
It comes with IPX4 certification for improved water resistance. The neckband also supports a feature that ensures that TV and Bravia Theatre U can play sound simultaneously—eliminating the need to choose between TV speakers and external audio.
