The ever-expanding crossover roster of Multiversus is adding a brand-new, fan-favorite fighter, as Raven from the Teen Titans has joined the brawl.
Multiversus is drafting a real heavy-hitter to attract new and lapsed players to the eclectic multiplayer fighter, as Cartoon Network fans’ favorite demon-daughter brings the dark and the snark to the game’s fourth season.
Bringing together many characters from properties in the Warner Bros. stable that players would never normally see interact is part of the inherent appeal of Multiversus. And that side of the appeal is on full display in Raven’s gameplay trailer.
There’s a childish – and slightly subversive – sense of fun to be found in the trailer when Raven begins wailing on Steven Universe with dark magic, expressing annoyance over his bright pink aesthetic as she does.
Aside from interesting new character combinations, Raven is more than ready to hold her own in the game’s flashy, Smash Bros. rivaling combat, wielding bursts and blasts of energy alongside the standard swings and stomps
Raven’s Mage status should provide some effective ranged options for keeping opponents at bay, but there’s plenty of up-close combat on display here too, proving that Raven can throw down and match wits and fists with the rest of Multiversus’ cast.
Multiversus season four will run from November 12 through January 21, so players won’t have to wait long at all before getting to see what Raven adds to Multiversus.
