The first VR Games Showcase is happening on August 15th at 12PM Eastern, when you’ll hear major announcements from top VR studios about games coming to your headset.
If you’re a hardcore gamer, you’re likely familiar with Nintendo Direct or PlayStation State of Play game preview streams, as well as all-encompassing events like Summer Game Fest. Now, there’s a similar event for VR that will share information about all the upcoming games for headsets like the Meta Quest.
Seven different studios are participating in this virtual event, including some of the top names like Flat2VR Studios, XR Games, Beyond Frames & Combat Waffle. They will likely make announcements related to more than 15 games, including titles coming to Meta Quest platforms, PlayStation VR2, PC VR headsets, and Pico.
Some of the major things you can expect at the event include the first gameplay of Escaping Wonderland and Hitman 3: VR Reloaded for the Meta Quest 3. Furthermore, you can expect new game announcements from Vertigo Games, nDreams, and Fast Travel Games. Many of the game announcements made at the VR Games Showcase will also be featured in the Home of XR megabooth at Gamescom 2024.
