Key Takeaways

  • Tile is back after three years with four new trackers.
  • The main highlight of these trackers is the built-in SOS feature.
  • All the trackers come with differing Bluetooth ranges.

Three years after Tile introduced its Bluetooth trackers, the company is back with four new trackers to help users easily find their belongings.

The four trackers from Tile—Tile Mate, Tile Pro, Tile Slim, and Tile Sticker—feature sleeker designs and come in new colors. While all the devices have an extended Bluetooth range, the main highlight of this lineup is the integrated SOS feature.

Each device now has a new multifunction button that can be used to trigger a Life360 SOS alert. Users can activate this feature by simply triple-pressing the button in situations where they can’t make a phone call or send a text message. Once the SOS alert is triggered, the device will silently notify the user’s designated emergency contact, sending them a notification along with the user’s location.

The SOS service is available to anyone with a free Life360 account. Users who have purchased the premium plan will get the additional benefit of sending notifications to emergency dispatch services like law enforcement and medical services. In the event users mistakenly trigger the SOS feature, they have 15 seconds to cancel the alert. They will need to swipe the setting off on their phone to cancel it.

The Tile Mate costs $25, comes with a built-in key ring, and has a Bluetooth range of 350ft. The Tile Pro is priced at $35, featuring the loudest ring and the longest Bluetooth range—500ft—an upgrade from the previous model, which had a Bluetooth range of 400ft. The Tile Slim costs $30 and is designed specifically for wallets and passport holders, also offering a Bluetooth range of 350ft. Lastly, the Tile Sticker is priced at $25, and the company claims it as the smallest Bluetooth tracker on the market. This device is specially designed for easily lost items like TV remotes and headphones, with a Bluetooth range of 250ft.

It’s also worth noting that all the Bluetooth trackers except the Tile Pro come with a non-replaceable battery that lasts up to three years. The Tile Pro offers only one year of battery life, but it’s replaceable.

The Tile Mate and Slim are available in six colors – black, white, pink, blue, yellow, and green. The Pro model comes in black and white, while the Tile Sticker offers only one color choice – black. Other than the Tile Pro, which is expected to be available for purchase in October, all the other devices are available to buy now.
