Ubisoft’s original plan was to release AC Shadows across two dates, November 12th and November 15th, 2024. However the developer said it needs more time to “polish and refine the experience, pushing further some of our key features.”
With Assassin’s Creed Shadows now set to launch on February 14th, 2025, Ubisoft has now confirmed that players who purchased the Collector’s Edition now won’t get the three days of early access originally promised. Instead, the Collector’s Edition will be released alongside the main game.
Ubisoft also reiterated that there will be no season passes coming for the game.
AC Shadows Collector’s Edition Gets a Price Drop
The developer announced that in light of the scrapped season passes and early access cancellation, the Collector’s Edition price will drop from $280 to $230 on the console.
It said the content of the Collector’s Edition would “mostly remain as initially advertised,” though it did mention that “some design elements may change.”
The Collector’s Edition will still include a statue of Yasuke and Naoe, a world map, an art book, a wall scroll, two lithographs, and a life-sized katana tsuba replica.
The Collector’s Edition digital content will include the Sekiryu Dual Pack, Sekiryu Hideout Pack, and five mastery points.
