Samsung has announced that it has closed the One UI 6 Watch Beta program and started rolling out Wear OS 5 to eligible Galaxy Watch models.
Samsung launched the One UI 6 Watch beta program in mid-June 2024 with the Galaxy Watch 6 series and later expanded it to older models, including the Watch 5 and Watch 4. During the program, the company released nine beta builds, each aimed to fix bugs and performance issues reported by users in previous builds.

Users who participated in the beta program with their Galaxy Watch 6 have started receiving a new 136MB update from Samsung for the stable Wear OS 5. The update also includes the October 2024 security patch.
Since the beta program was only available in the US and Korean markets, Samsung will likely not take long to roll out the update to users who were not part of the beta program. While the update will go live for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 4 in the coming weeks, users with the LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch 6 might have to wait longer to receive the update.
One UI 6 Watch is based on Wear OS 5 and introduces several new features, including an AI-powered energy score, a new font, a touch-sensitive Always On Display, double-pinch action, and more.
