The price of dogwifhat (WIF) has surged by 32.5% in just one week, climbing to $2.08.
According to CoinGecko, the meme coin showed a steady upward trend during this period. On September 18, WIF hit a seven-day low of $1.47 before rebounding sharply to $1.87 by September 20.
Following a brief correction, the WIF climbed to $2.05, marking its highest value in the last week.
The last time the price of WIF hit $2 was on August 20.
Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, and Dogwifhat: A Comparison
The dogwifhat belongs to the dog meme coin category, where it ranks third in terms of market capitalization, with $1.9 billion, according to CoinGecko.
In the lead is Dogecoin (DOGE) with a market cap of $15.9 billion, followed by Shiba Inu (SHIB) at $8.8 billion. Despite being smaller in market cap, WIF outperformed these major players over the past week. The DOGE gained 8.6%, while SHIB saw a 14.4% increase.
That said, Neiro (NEIRO), another notable dog-themed meme coin, saw a more significant rise, increasing by 42.1%. The NEIRO currently holds sixth place in the meme coin rankings, with a market cap of $490 million.
WIF Trading Volume on DEX
Data from GeckoTerminal shows that dogwifhat’s trading volume in the WIF/Solana (SOL) pool on decentralized exchanges reached $3.34 million, placing it 28th on decentralized exchanges (DEX) volume rankings.
By comparison, another meme coin on Solana, Popcat (POPCAT), ranked fifth, with a trading volume of $40.81 million.
