Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to introduce its latest foldable smartphones, the Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4, in Q3 2024.
This launch schedule aligns with Xiaomi’s past release timelines, given that the Mix Fold 3 was launched in August 2023.
A notable leaker, Devinarde, recently posted on X that the Mix Flip and Mix Fold 4 are expected to be tri-lens while the Fold 4 could weigh lighter.
@Xiaomi #MixFold4 will reported weigh 22x grams.
FYR, #VivoXFold3Pro weighs 236g and the #HonorMagicV2 weighs 231/237g.

They are also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, boast a 50-megapixel main sensor with a 1/1.55-inch sensing area and optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 2x telephoto camera featuring the 1/2.8-inch Omnivision OV60A sensor.
The Mix Fold 4 is rumored to have additional camera features, including a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 10-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. It is also expected to be Xiaomi’s first foldable phone with an IP rating.
Leaks also suggest the Mix Fold 4 could support wireless charging, although no details about the battery’s size have been provided. The Mix Flip, conversely, is likely to feature a main display with a 1.5K resolution.
According to unconfirmed reports, the Mix Fold 4 will be available exclusively in China. In contrast, the Mix Flip is anticipated to hit the shelves in China and other global markets, except for India and Japan.
This development marks a remarkable step for Xiaomi in the foldable smartphone market, where Samsung leads the pack with its Galaxy Z Fold 5, followed by Google Pixel Fold and Motorola’s Razr+.
If these next-gen foldables hit the market, as speculated, Xiaomi will expand its product portfolio and target the high-stakes foldable phone market.
