Zenless Zone Zero Tier List
We took as many factors into account as possible when making our Zenless Zone Zero agent tier list. This includes their stats, moves, and how well they perform compared to others in the same category.
S-tier Zenless Zone Zero Agents
Our current picks for agents that rise above all the rest in this Zenless Zone Zero tier list earn the coveted S-tier ranking.
Ellen
Almost everyone playing ZZZ agrees that Ellen is a required agent for any team. Her focus is on ice attacks, with the ability to build up Flash Freeze Charges she can use to apply ice to all her attacks. Combined with her incredible crit chance and she’s able to shred most foes. She’s at the top of Zenless Zone Zero best characters for good reason.
Grace
As a mid-range agent, Grace’s grenades won’t disappoint. Tossing her bombs to deal great splash damage is one thing, but all her attacks keep her mobile to avoid any counter attacks and manage the field. Take advantage of her electric grenades to fully lock down your opponents.
Lycaon
Lycaon is also primarily an ice character, but with a strike damage type and higher stun duration. This makes him the perfect character to drop in, wail on an enemy to build up their stun, and then tag out for someone else to deal the finishing blow.
Zhu Yuan
Zhu Yuan’s attacks are almost as deadly as they are cool to look at. Her primary attacks are a stylish barrage of bullets that build up her ether. With that, you can create vortexes to clump enemies together and unleash your powerful shotshells to blow them away.
Koleda
Don’t judge her by her size, because Koleda squeaks into the S-rank for our Zenless Zone Zero agent tier list for her utility as an amazing tank. Her hammer packs a massive punch if you get in close, plus can inflict fire damage to apply damage over time.
A-tier Zenless Zone Zero Agents
While not the absolute peak of the Zenless Zone Zero tier list, A-tier characters are still completely viable in most teams if you focus on their strengths and build a balanced team overall.
Soldier 11
You would expect a character with a name like this to be good, and Soldier 11 doesn’t disappoint. She’s far tankier than you might expect, but her real utility is her chain attack that sets all enemies in the area on fire.
Piper
In terms of raw stats, Piper is the hardest-hitting character in the game thanks to her giant axe and utilizing her anomaly. Even without that, she would make the list for the buff to physical damage she gives your entire team.
Rina
Rina falls one ranking in our Zenless Zone Zero tier list because she takes a bit more thought to pull out her full potential. Since she’s slow, but her specials deal damage over time, she’s great to tag in, land a big hit, and then instantly swap back out.
Lucy
One of the few true support characters, Lucy’s ability to summon boars isn’t just a gag. These cute beasts can pack a punch on their own, but they can also be sacrificed to deal additional fire damage when Lucy uses a special.
Nicole
Dealing damage isn’t the only thing that puts someone near the top of a Zenless Zone Zero agent tier list, and Nicole is the perfect example of that. Her entire kit is centered around crowd control with her black hole abilities that set enemies up for your main attacker to decimate.
Soukaku
Another ice character, Soukaku is also a little tricky to utilize hence her spot here. She shines once you build up her vortex and can enter the Frosted Banner state. While active, your entire team gets their attacks buffed with ice.
B-tier Zenless Zone Zero agents
Right in the middle of the Zenless Zone Zero tier list, we have the B-tier. These are still decent ZZZ characters, but most have more powerful options in the tiers above.
Nekomata
If you just want to focus on hitting things as fast and as hard as possible, this is your character. Nekomata is strong and fast, but has no real synergy with other characters. You can rely on her for a while, but not when you get to more difficult content.
Anby
Being the starter character, it makes sense for Anby to be right in the middle of the pack. She’s meant to ease you into things, so nothing beyond her basic attack is anything to write home about, but that makes her very easy to be good with.
C-tier Zenless Zone Zero agents
As we drop into the C-ranks of our Zenless Zone Zero agent tier list, we get to the point where you would really need to love this character’s personality or design to justify using them.
Ben
Without his shield ability protecting your team after a follow-up on his special, there’s not much reason to pick Ben. He’s big, slow, and just kind of a drag to play as.
Corin
The best time to use Corin is when you need to keep enemies outside of an area for a duration of time, but beyond those specific situations, she’s rather lackluster. She doesn’t deal that much damage and is outclassed by just about every other character with daze.
Anton
Despite being the only electric attacker in ZZZ at the moment, he’s just middling and you can tell. He’s the most unique character, but not in a good way since he loses energy by fighting and can only deal decent damage when in his Burst Mode.
D-tier Zenless Zone Zero agents
If there’s one thing you should take from our Zenless Zone Zero tier list, it’s this: don’t pick Billy.
Billy
Yes, Billy looks super cool, but that’s all he has going for him. He deals pitiful damage at best, however, the worst part is that his primary ranged weapons deal less damage the further you are from the enemy. He feels like a complete waste of a slot no matter what type of team you’re building.
Upcoming Zenless Zone Zero agents
We can’t put these upcoming agents on our Zenless Zone Zero tier list yet, but once they are out we will sort them accordingly.

How to Obtain Agents in Zenless Zone Zero
You begin the game automatically getting Billy, Anby, and Nicol, but all the best characters on the Zenless Zone Zero tier list have to be drawn from Signal Search using Master Tapes. Different characters are in the pool at different times that you have the potential of getting. This is a random draw where you roll the dice in hopes you get the character you want before the banner rotates and you have to wait for them to show up again.
Gacha refers to the onomatopoeia for “gachapon” which is the sound of a capsule machine drawing; ZZZ has this system in a virtual way – luck of the draw.
