How to Take the CDMP Exam

CDMP exams can be purchased at cdmp.info. Upon successful procurement, the examinee will receive an email with the link to the CDMP instruction platform. To help certification candidates become comfortable, DAMA International provides a 40-question practice test for the Data Management Fundamental’s exam free with all exams.

Half the exam questions are relatively straightforward, with one correct answer and four distractors. 25% of the multiple choice answer choices have alternative answers rather than all distractors, and the test-taker is asked to identify the best answer for several possible solutions.

There are two versions of each exam. The Standard version of the exam is 90 minutes long and is intended for candidates whose first language is English. The English Second Language (ESL) version allows an additional 20 minutes for candidates whose English is not their first language.

Both versions of each exam have the same number of questions (100) and the same level of complexity. DAMA International uses the Canvas Learning Management System and HonorLock platforms to ensure the integrity of exam results, which are made available almost immediately upon submission.
