Jabulani Leffall
Jabulani Leffall is an award-winning journalist and writer who attended journalism school at the University of Missouri. His work has appeared in the Financial Times of London, Dow Jones Marketwatch, The Baltimore Sun, Investor’s Business Daily, Variety, CFO Magazine, Compliance Week, Black Enterprise, the Los Angeles Business Journal and the Los Angeles Daily News, among other publications. He has also appeared on ABC World News and CNN as a commentator of business and world affairs. He has been a George Washington Williams Fellow for the Independent Press Association, where from 2002 to 2004 he studied the effects of subprime lending on poor communities. After what happened in 2007 and 2008, Lefall feels vindicated as a journalist for having called what was going to happen.Leffall shored up his business knowledge with a one-year stint at Deloitte & Touche’s Los Angeles office, where he worked as a senior consultant in the IT and business process risk management (controls assurance) practice.He also contributed vital research to the 1998 book by University of Missouri History Professor Robert E. Weems, which is titled “Desegregating the Dollar.”Leffall was most recently associate editor at large for FactSet Estimates and Fundamentals News, a subsidiary of FactSet Research Systems.Before that, Leffall was an Asia desk analyst, content management specialist and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) correspondent with FactSet MergerStat, where he spent time covering Asian M&A in 2008 and 2009, sometimes live from Shanghai via blog-style news reports and podcasts.In his own time, Leffall has also been a blogger/content partner with KCMag.com, Wisebread.com and Black Web 2.0.
