Google Reader bit the dust on July 1, joining many other Google projects that have been laid to rest. Many of these discontinued projects left fans grieving the loss of a great product that just didn't catch on with a large enough audience, or perhaps was duplicated by another product. You probably remember Google Talk and Google Health, and even Google Buzz, but what about Aardvark? Or Google Answers? It seems that some of these ideas really had outlived their usefulness, but fans of others would say they were axed far too soon.
